A couple days ago we got to see our little wiggle worm and there was no question that it is definelty all boy!  We are soo excited for another little boy.  Seems that each side of the family will be over ran with boys but hopefully that means they all get along great!  I'm so excited for Jayden to have a little brother. The fact that my due date has moved up about a week doesn't hurt at all either.  May just needs to get here.....Yesterday!  :)  Just thought i'd let ya'll know.

Serious Blog over load

I really am such a slacker but its hard to update when you don't have the internet at home and only get to borrow the parent's computer.  So the next few blogs are going to be a little overkill but i have a little bit of catching up to do so i guess move on or enjoy our crazy lives :)

Some bigger things i can share, don't really have pictures but i will as soon as i can.  Brandon sold his GMC pickup and his S10 finally and was recently able to buy him something bigger.  A 1991 Chevy Suburban, i wasn't kidding he went bigger :). He seems to love it and it has 4 wheel drive tons of room so until we find us our family tahoe it will do just dandy.

For the first time we got our Christmas lights up on our house, i will definitely  get pictures and try to post them. Jayden LOVES lights this year and the fact that we finally got us a Christmas tree, fake but i love that its a prelit and all that fun jazz.  Jayden loves it! So do i, since its our first since we've been married.

Speaking of married, me and Brandon reached our 4 year mark on December 1 and were able to go out to dinner just the two of us and of course most of the conversation led back to Jayden but he is our whole world....for now.

Coming in May we are expecting our 2nd little one.  We don't' know what it is yet, but we are sure excited and don't worry as soo as we know everyone else will know.  Jayden will be 2 1/2 and i hope will be a big helper and loves being a big brother.

Go through the rest of the blogs at your own risk...there are a few of them :)

Jayden turns 2!

November 7 2010 my baby boy officially became a toddler.  I'm loving all the new things he's learning and how he actually wants to talk now and will give us hugs just because, but i sure do miss the days when he depended on me for everything and when he would cuddle.  Its so crazy to think we have a 2 year already and already going on 20 type of thing.  He loves his daddy and has to have his cuddle/hug time with him every night or else he won't sleep all that well.  He LOVES tractors and most recently anything with Buzz Lightyear. Needless to say we have watched toy story 1 and 3 (all we have) over and over and he loves it every time. One of the few movies he will actually sit and watch.  This year we made Jayden's birthday cake and Brandon decorated it. Brandon was so proud of himself and Jayden loved because well...i'll show you.

I tell you he LOVES tractors

Random tidbit that same weekend Daddy built him a little "fort" and he loved it, sadly i didn't get many good pictures but he thought it was fun.

Jayden the goofball

Jayden's personality has really been shining through the past few months.  It ranges from just plain funny and where in the world did you learn that type of stuff. He of course back talks, yells at us if we did something wrong or something he just didn't approve of.  If its diaper changing time he will run away and get where he can close a door in our face. He loves to crawl in anything and put random things on his head.  So just enjoy some fun pictures.

Probably would of fallen asleep in there if i would of let him.

has this thing for baskets and piling whatever he can on top of him.

cheesing it up and pretending to like tuna fish for mom. (fit happened shortly after)

Such a stud
Loves his new hat.

loves his boxes and Popsicle.

State Fair 2010

So i got a little ahead of myself on that last post since we were able to make it to the state fair for a couple days before the surgery. Jayden got bored a lot, but was SUPER excited anytime he saw a tractor, and then got SUPER upset when he couldn't get on them. He seemed to like the animals, nothing new since he sees most of the animals at grandma and grandpa Batty's farm but he still had fun.

However when we got to the bigger equipment that you could crawl in Jayden was in Heaven and we were hard pressed to get him off of them.

This year since Jayden LoVeS going down slides we took him down the big yellow they have there.  I even went down once and Jayden and daddy went down twice.  He loved every second. Pictures aren't the greatest since they are moving and the camera isnt' awesome but he loved it.

Sugery

Back in September Brandon had surgery on a lump on his belly that he's had since birth.  It had never really bothered him enough to really pursue what it was until recently when it hurt no matter what he did.  The doctors figured it was just a lymphoma (fatty blob basically) and it was just resting on the muscle and irritating him.  So we show up to the hospital figuring to be there maybe a couple hours.  WRONG.  We went in around 9 to get checked in and the whole business, (mind you Brandon had been fasting since 11 the night before). They were quick to get him in his cute hospital clothes complete with hat. Yes, i took pictures but i also promised to not share them, i deserve brownie points for being the awesome wife. Anyways, finally  around 1:30, yes 1:30 they finally took him back and thankfully my mom came to sit with me so i wouldn't' go crazy in the waiting room.  They had told me it would be about 45 minutes, easy peasy right, Wrong again.  They came in about 30 minutes later to tell me in fact he had a hernia so they would have to put him under anesthesia completely (they had only did a local sedation basically since they figured it would be a quickie thing), well finally about 1 hour later they tell me that everything was fine and was thoroughly amazed that it was a hernia and was never caught before now.  Well then they tell me that I can't go back there for another 30 minutes.  I hate the fact that he had to wake up with strange nurses buzzing around and all that jazz. { Side note: i remember when i had a surgery when i was like 15 and they didn't let either of my parents back there to be next to me when i woke up and i freaked out and i was scared, didn't know what was going on. I hated it} So i was upset they wouldn't let me back for a while.  Well Brandon was a trooper and took it in stride that first day, sucky deal though, they gave him loritabs (jealous right) and they made him sooo sick so he was only able to handle Ibuprofen they did the trick but i felt bad he didn't get to stay in the warm happy fuzzy of painkillers. He ended being on short term disability for nearly a month and then was on light duty for another 3 weeks.  That month of being home and not being able to lift anything about 20 lbs. which included Jayden, he did it anyways but shhh.  He was going nuts not being able to do much and I've never seen him so grateful to being able to go back to work, i try not to take it personally, but he's a guy that it kills him to sit still for 5 minutes let a lone a month!  Jayden loved him being home and adjusting back to having daddy gone all day was rough for a while. We made it through and Brandon feels better and has a cool scar to boot, and thankful he had the surgery before it became a full blown bad hernia and burst and all that junk.  So sept/oct was an interesting couple of months.

Jayden Vacation

This weekend was all about Jayden since he was such a good boy for us on our family vacation a few weeks ago.  We didn't do anything great grand and wonderful but Jayden seemed to really enjoy himself.  We started out by going to the Hogle Zoo, which sadly quite a few animals were gone since they are about to do some major contruction for a new exhibit type thing.  Gonna be pretty cool once its done, which they say not until spring 2012 so we might not go for a while after this.  Anyways, Jayden really really liked the monkey's. He would giggle and point and just stared at the monkeys.

seriously seemed like it was trying to escape
He really knows how to ham it up for sure.
Later that afternoon we headed to the Living Planet Aquarium where Jayden had a lot more fun there.  He was oooohig and awwwing the whole time, running around and giggling.  Its a pretty neat place really, they have the penguin exhibit now and its not really busy so Jayden could just run wild.
He wasn't too thrilled about sitting on the frog...things he'll do for mom and a picture.
Priceless faces...love it
We just did a little shopping and found the children's store Carters where they were having a huge sale and so Jayden scored on some pretty stinking clothes.  All in all we had a fun weekend and Jayden did amazingly well even with the fact that he didn't have a nap the entire day.  My little boy is growing up and it kills me...but he is sure getting fun and funnier everyday.  Just like his dad, a little Batty :)

Random August Pics

I know, I know...what a slacker right.  My defense is simple, i don't have internet at home and using just my blackberry is a pain in the butt so blogging only happens every few months.  Besides this is my blog/scrapbook (at least as close as it'll get to one) so when it happens is when it happens. so over the next few posts I'll be updating from back in July and currently.  Assuming my attention can last that long. :)

A couple of weekends ago we were able to go Brandon's family reunion, I didn't take a lot of pictures of everyone but I did get a few of Jayden (of course) and Brandon.

However this year a new tradition has begun.  I don't know if many of you will know or understand the massive post outbreak on the hubby's facebook  about a simple comment about pie.  Simple comment led to Zombie infestations, to zombie pies and leading us to a feast of pies at the reunion ( post count was well over 100, crazy batty's).  Batty family is exactly what their name implies :) Sadly didn't get any pics of the amount of pies but i think we had around 12 or so pies.  I'm sure years to come that number will definitely grow.
Great-Grandpa Batty enjoying his pie right out of the tin...smart man.
The pies waiting for the onslaught.
Mmmmmmmm...pie

Such a Daddy's boy

Needles to say the grass was tall.

I do have to add in the awesomeness of Jaydens attempt at catching a chicken. He starting to not to be so scared of them ugly birds

Simplot Summer Family Party

For as long as I can remember I've been able to go up to (currenlty named) Simplot Phosphate mine. For those of you who don't know where its it, its on the way to Flaming George and right after them fun switch backs you can see the mine to the side of the road.  Any way my Dad as worked up there for...i want to say 32 years..(for as long as i've been alive for sure) and so its always been part of my life going up to see everything and climb up on the machines. Now that the hubby works up there its even funner to continue on the tradition and take our family up there now.
Usually these parties are held at the naples park but this year they did it on actual mine property was pretty cool.  This year Brandon couldn't make it since he was on a camp with his scout group up to Kings Peak. Which as soon as we get pics i'll update and let him tell about it. Anyway, Me and Jayden went up with my mom and brother tyler with his girlfriend jadon (funny huh, two jaydens in the family just spelled differetly, which while she's around my jayden becomes Bubba...it works and he answers to it.)  it was pretty fun they had a mini carnival there with a bunch of blow up slides and obstacle course and they brought down a big Haul truck and Loader for the the family to see and climb on.

Jayden Loved the train ride, he would of stayed on it forever if we didn't have to eat!
My brother ty taking him through a tunnel, needless to say Jayden didn't have much fun in that one.
He did however have fun on this huge slide, even got mom to go down it.
Picture of J man inside the tire of the Haul Truck.

Just an idea of the size of the truck Jayden is sitting in the tire of.

Climbing up the loader with Grandma

Big Cheesers when he made it to the top
I didn't get a picture of the actual loader but the picture is the same kind they have.

Mesa Verde Vacation

The end of July we headed down to Mesa Verde, Colorado for a Batty Family Vacation.  Brandon's sister was awesome and found a very awesome rental house that all 16 people could fit in.  It amazes me that, that many people in a small house could get a long so well.  Well the kids had their squabbles but that's what you get with 5 kids fighting for a attention.

The back view of the house.

View from the back of the house.

The drive down was pretty awesome, we came down through Grand Junction and through Telluride and can i just say that was a gorgeous drive but a little unnerving at times. Those who know the Million Dollar Highway then they have an idea of how that drive went. It wouldn't of been so bad except it rained on us the whole through. Either way it was a beautiful drive. I was kinda excepting a lot more desert type stuff, like vernal area, boy was I wrong.
I didn't take any pictures but this was definitely a view we saw from the highest part of the road.

Did I mention gorgeous

For those of you that haven't heard of Mesa Verde (like me before we went) then I'll fill you in. Mesa Verde is a national park in mostly CO, AZ, NM and UT. Its main appeal is the Stone Dwellings which were pretty neat. Amazing that people back then could build such pretty complex structures.

Those are just a few of the dwellings we saw.  I sadly didn't take much of the towns that were around were we stayed, like Mancos, Cortez or Durango. OH well it was a fun trip.

Jayden loved the pack that we were able to borrow

Can't really tell but Jayden, Grandpa B and cousin Brielle were having a sword fight with grass.  Pretty fun to watch. Jayden was giggling pretty good.
He sure does love his daddy and if Jayden looks tired then you would be right.  The whole time we were down there Jayden seemed little off and come to find out he was actually pretty sick, one of the nights we thought we'd have to go to the hospital since he was burning up and crying and wouldn't eat...ended up getting better on his own but he sorta spread the love of sick to others...sorry everyone.  For how sick J man was, he was sure the trooper and did really well on the long drive and everything.

We sadly didn't get to make it to the four corners site since it was under construction and stuff, but I think when Jayden is a bit older we'll make it back down there.
On the drive back we came home through Moab and can i just tell you if Brandon was  eager to take a vacation to Moab before he definetly is super stoked for the day we go down to Moab and really visit it.  He was like a kid in a candy store...granted it was for all the off-road trails but either way it was funny.
