Jayden turns 3!

November 7, 2011 Jayden turned 3....say what!!  I couldn't believe how fast it snuck up on me this year. One minute Korwin was born next my little boy turned 3! Wow.   He loved having his special day and loved that daddy came home from work with awesome birthday balloons and made his cake again this year.  I thought the cake turned out way cute and Jayden LOVED it!

Jayden is superman!  So he says
Assuming the weather is going to corporate we are taking Jayden to the city and have a special mommy daddy day with him this weekend. We are leaving Korwin with Grandma and Grandpa and gonna let Jayden choose what he wants to do and spend his birthday money and let him choose a special toy.  Gonna try and take him to a cool movie in the awesome theaters out there and hopefully he had a blast.  I'll try to remember to take pictures or at least post something about the awesome weekend.

Until then, that is all...

Halloween 2011

This year Halloween was actually pretty fun, Jayden understood the concept of saying trick or treat and hey look at that i get candy!  We just did the Ward Trunk or treat and hit the grandparents but it was still super fun.  Jayden chose to be a horse this year and we had Korwin be a puppy, well he only wore his costume for like 10 minutes, long enough for pictures.  Ya see we bought his costume three weeks prior and it was a tad big but we figured perfect, then 2 weeks later we tried it on again and it fit perfect, Halloween night it was too small, we literally had to squeeze him into it.  It made me actually see how much he's grown the past month. Being home all the time i don't 'really see it, but that ill fitting costume sure did.

Cranky

Well we've been rather busy and not busy all at the same time.  Hubby is still on swing shifts and now he had another weekend added.  Positive part it is that he will actually have all of Halloween off, first time in the 3 years he's worked at Simplot.  Pretty excited, its jayden's first real time to dress up and go trick or treating and korwins first in general.  That night i'll for sure take pictures to show off how stinking cute my boys are.. (just a bit biased remember).

Well Korwin was doing so good the past couple of weeks on his sleeping...i got 7 hours in a row one night. I had forgotten how it felt to get a decent nights sleep.  It took a bit of sleep training but we did it!  Well then yesterday he had to get his 4 months shots and then was prescribed to have to drink 1 oz of prune juice twice a day, gotta tell ya he is NOT a fan of the prune juice taste but anyways ( i know he's five months old but we somehow got a month behind, did the same thing with jayden, maybe we just like to be fashionable late or something).  well his shots actually made him a bit sick this time, nothing major just a bit of a fever and just uncomfortable type pains.  Then to top it all of he's getting 2 more teeth on the bottom which will give him 4 teeth.  I sorta wish he could of been like other babies and waiting till 9 months or something. I guess on the other side he'll be done a lot quicker.
Well his 5 month stats came at no surprise of being in the 90th percentile.  He weighed a whopping 18 lbs 14 oz and 27 inches long.  We just grow big kids I guess.

I'm a scatterbrain and haven't the slightest clue where my camera is so yet again no pictures since its a pain in my butt to get them off my phone and im just lazy.  Well i guess other super exciting news is that my sister-in-law the sneaky little devil surprised everyone and dropped the bomb that she is going on a mission!!! I haven't a clue how she kept it a secret but I'm so proud of her and excited for her. She's going to the Calgary Canada mission...i know eh!!  lol  Well she leaves in just a few short weeks to the MTC and its crazy to think we won't see her for 18 months but i think i can speak for the family and say we are so very very proud of her decision to go on a mission.  as the hubby says it truly is the most challenging, rewarding, exciting, scary best 2 years (18 months for her) of your life. It'll be sad to see her go, i know Jayden will miss her and Korwin just thinks she's still the crazy aunt that talks funny to him, but when she gets back he'll be almost 2!  Crazy!

Another Crazy is we are about to have a 3 year in the house, in just a few short weeks Jayden turns 3 and its so weird to think its snuck up on us so fast this year.  I'm excited for him to go into sunbeams in January, i hope his teacher can handle all the crazy kids moving up this year they'll will have their hands full for sure!

Well this was suppose to be a quick update, but i guess it really is since i just scraped the surface of our crazy lives!  Well TTFN!!

One Down

::Have I mentioned how much I HATE Swing-shifts!!! However, we have one weekend down and only three more to go.
::Pretty sure its rougher on the boys than me, they get use to having daddy home at nights and then all the sudden he's home during the day and gone at nights, completely throws them for a loop for several weekends.  then they get use it and then its back to days....its a rough month and 1/2 of weird schedule changes.
::At least this time i have Netflix to comfort me at night and a guaranteed at least one night of late night 7-11 nachos.  I Always crave 7-11 nachos, besides the hubby loves them as much as I do.
:: I need to find a new tv show to watch, ive caught up Grey's and Bones but i need a new one since they don't have House on Streaming yet.
::It hit me the other day that in just over a month i'm going to have a 3 year-old which means come January i have a Sunbeam!!! I already feel bad for his teacher, gonna be some crazy ones going through next year.  Pray for them!
::We found ourselves pretty clever with our Halloween Decorations this year. Once all set up pictures will be shown.  Its a Ironically awesomeness.  Won't be hard to guess if you think about it.  The hubby Loves that he has a cool project and ideas for Halloween though so its all good.
::Jayden is growing like crazy and the past few months is back to putting EVERYTHING in his mouth.  Its nasty enough i have one drooling kid but i really didn't want two.
:: Korwin is just over 4 months and still only has two teethe, but anything near them teeth he tries for all his worth to take a chunk out of; from blankets, noses and his own fingers he bites.  Yes, he has bitten himself and cried about it and then does it again, he's starting to understand that if i bite myself it indeed does hurt, pretty funny to watch though.
::I'm a bit sad these past few weeks.  One of my older brothers is moving.  Not just a little bits a way but to Fredicksburg, Virginia. Wife, 4 kids and him will be leaving good ole hot n sunny st. george this weekend and making the long trek to Virginia.  I was able to see them last weekend but its still sad, gonna be a long while before we get to see them again.  Unless we become rich very quickly....alas i am excited for them to start a new adventure, just wish it wasn't so far away.
:: Down to only 67 days till NFR!! I'm sooooooooooooo very excited.  Won't know what to do without the kids for 4 days...oh wait i know!! sleep, sleep and have a blast!!!

Teething

::Saturday Korwin broke through his first two bottom teeth. Makes sense now why he was so grumpy. I really wish he didn't have to be like his brother and start at four months...oh well, hopefully they'll all come fast and we can have a happy baby again soon.
::Hubby left this morning for Mississippi for some more training.  Not excited at all, he'll be gone till late Friday night. :( I hate being home alone.  I guess my parents will see a lot of me this week!  they shouldn't complain i mean they get to see two of the cutest grandkids.
::Jayden is starting to talk alllllllll the time now.  Have to be super careful what we let him hear since he repeats EVERYTHING!  He loves going to nursery and basically begs all through sacrament to go. A little nervous when he starts as a sunbeam in January and doesn't go to nursery anymore, it'll be interesting..bless those sunbeam teachers because Look out there is some little devils coming your way next year.
::I really should post some pictures but i don't feel like digging out my camera since i'm just that lazy and tired. I shouldn't complain but Korwin still gets up 2 times a night.  Like clockwork its every 4 hours, its exhausting.  I don't 'remember what its like to have more than 4 hours of sleep at a time. Such is the life i wanted so i shall complain no more!
:: have i mentioned that i love love love having internet at home and being able to have netflix, its been a lifesaver lately.

Brothers?

They Couldn't be related could they?

Just a little bit

I finally got all the pictures downloaded and after I saw all the pictures i needed to go through i got a bit overwhelmed, so I'm must gonna do a little bit at a time as i go through the pictures.  The most current ones i see are of Korwin in his blessing tux. He was blessed the first part of August- he was almost 3 months old- but most of our families were able to come so it was worth the wait.  Anyways, here he is in all his red headed glory!

Just love the outfit, makes his red hair stand out....oh dear

fun at the summer simplot party with uncle ty
So i gotta give a shout-out to my awesome little brother.  He took jayden down this huge blow up slide thing with a broken leg mind you.  Just a week prior my brother was in an ATV accident -well it was one of the bigger Rhino type ones- and he ended up snapping his leg right below the knee.  Strange they didn't cast it and even told him to walk on it...either way, he was a rockstar for climbing up the stair things and taking my little boy down so i could get a picture.  You rock little bro!

Cheesing it up.

He wants to drive the big haul trucks when he grows up...uh-oh is right.

Taking it easy on the 4-wheeler ride....strange kid

I'm going to add a video in which you turn off the volume since its just us making noise but to explain  when Korwin gets in any type of shade it makes his eyes go huge.  I'm talking you walk from room to room and his eyes will momentarily go huge with the slight light change.  Anyway, we think its funny so just enjoy a tid bit.

Very Odd

::Well no pictures today, haven't gotten to the point of putting all our pictures on this computer...maybe this weekend.
::its very odd thinking we have internet, having it on our phones i thought was enough and now i can't believe we didn't take the leap and get actual dsl at home before now.
:: i am LOVING having netflix.  Already i have watched 4 episodes of Grey's Anatomy. I love that show, not sure why but i do.
:: Jayden loves having netflix since that means endless amounts of Backyardigans and such....we'll be fighting over who gets to watch what i'm afraid
::We recently spoiled ourselves and bought us our early early Christmas presents.  We splurged and bought ourselves some tablets, no offense but no stinking Ipad...way cooler Android one...LOVE IT!
::feel a litte guilty buying them but we've been married going on 5 years and this is our first true gifts to ourselves/eachother
::Getting way excited to go to the NFR in december.  This will be the Honeymoon we didn't get to have!  Stoked.  A little nervous/sad leaving the boys with grandparents for 4 days (Jayden is a handful) but it'll be sooo worth the break!
::In a Few weeks the hubby is heading to Mississippi for some more training...not very excited, its a Monday morning to a late Friday night type of week.  I'm already overwhelmed at the thought.
:: i really shouldn't  complain, i'm rather spoiled be able to have my hubby home every night (execpt scout nights) and for the most part every weekend...but i'm blessed to be spoiled.
:: its 9:30 both boys are asleep so i'm about to do the same....zzzzz night blogland

Random thoughts

*Hubby left this morning for three days to go on Trek up to Martin's cove, hope he has fun but hope thursday comes very quickly
*My house is a complete and utter disaster
*I really don't care at this poing that its a disaster...too tired to care
*Really really wish Korwin would decide on some type of schedule
*Jayden loves to help me with brother so that is a plus, although sometimes trys to help a little too much.
*July is a very very busy month on activities to do and the stuff Brandon has to do...ugh
*Really wish we had internet at home, maybe when we pay off the hospital bills we can
* Hospitals and doctors are way too over paid in my opinion

Even though i seem like i'm complaining i am only a little bit.  I'm just a bit sleep deprived but it sorta comes with the territory and i honestly wouldnt trade having my two boys for anything. I just hate it when the husband is gone, i really really hate sleeping alone even though i get all the pillows and covers i want.  Still its just lonely.

Lagoon 2011

Every year Simplot pays for all its employees to go to Lagoon and have a catered lunch provided, so of course we jumped on the opportunity and went.  This year Jayden was able to do some of the rides.  Although waiting in line was not fun at all with him and would have tiny meltdowns.  Just didn't understand the meaning of waiting his turn and the fact his patience is very very limited, it was interesting to say the least.  Once he got on thought he had a blast.  So without further ado yet another picture overload.

Riding with cousin Tara

Minor Melt-down

all smiles now that he's on the ride

He loved the plane ride with the guns...

He kept calling the horse Grace (gpa batty has a horse named grace that he loves to ride)

He kept petting the goat and say wow, fast goat...what a funny dude

Korwin Dade Batty

So I really don't have any excuse as to why it has taken me this long to up date and introduce our newest member expect the fact that i'm a tad bit busier these days.  Understatement of the century if you ask me.

Anyways the gist of it all is Korwin was born on May 18, 2011 and 5:04 pm, weighing in at 8lbs 3 oz and 20 1/2 inches long.  He was exactly 2 weeks overdue, yes 2 long miserable extra weeks.  Since I was over and I was already dialating and such we decided to try being induced again. I was pretty scared thinking it was going to be another 3 day labor but i was very pleasantly surprised. Checked in the hospital at 7 am, was hooked up to all the fun machines and IV with pitocin running by 7:45. Doctor came in a few minutes later and broke my water and told me i was already a 4!  Wahoo, i wasn't that far along till day 3 with Jayden, so i was very hopeful about having a baby that night.  Well a few hours later Korwin decided he didn't like me so much and they had to yet again sorta refill me with water since it was putting to much stress on him without that extra cushion.  Well he wasn't dropping like he was suppose to but i was dilating very well.  They thought that the cord was wrapped around him and threw the word 'emergency c-section' out there if his heart-rate didn't steady which terrified me since all morning hubby was by my side expect for that 15 minutes of course, so needless to say i had a teeny freak out.  Well they decided to take me off the Pit and see if he would calm down enough, well instead my body decided to kick in overdrive and do it all alone.  Apparently all i needed was a little kick to get me going on my own.  His heart rate steadied out so they decided to hold out and see if I could do it by myself without surgical intervention.  Well around 4 o'clock nice nurse lady came and checked and told me i was ready to Push!!! HOLY Crap I thought, can  it really happen that fast.  Anyways, she went to go grab the doctor and came back a few minutes later saying he was already delivering a lady a few rooms down and told me not to push and relax.  UM HELLO!! pretty sure i wanted to punch her in the face.  Fast forward 30 minutes later doctor told me it was my turn and Korwin was born 30 minutes later. So i guess the benefit of them telling me to not push made for a easier labor in the end since he himself was thinking...uh mom...i'm ready to come out, like, 20 minutes ago!  The cord was indeed wrapped around his neck but nothing to be alarmed about, he came out wrong side up i guess which made him inhale some fluid, which they said oh don't worry about it we'll suction him out and he'll be fine.  Riiiiight. I was able to hold him for a few minutes before they took him to clean and weigh him and all that jazz.  I didn't see or hear about him again till close to 7 that next morning.  Talk about being a nervous wreck.  Brandon would go down the the nursery and saw him and noticed they were doing a chest x-ray and was hooked up to oxygen and had an IV but couldn't find out what was going on.

Long story short, they had to put the IV in to give him food, since they didn't dare let him eat for fear of him inhaling it which would just add to the fluid already in his lungs.  The x-ray was to check to make sure his lungs were developed and the oxygen was to help him get the fluids out of his lungs.  Well all this went down Wednesday and by Friday he was off the iv, oxygen and was able to eat. Well then the silly poor scored poorly on his Jaundice level and had to be under them blue lights for 24 hours.  So yet another day in the hospital.  Finally Saturday morning he cleared his jaundice level and food intake to diaper outtake  :) and we were out of that hospital by 11 that morning.

Apparently I should just plan on being in the hospital for at least 4 days...good grief. All in all though it was much better experience than what it was with Jayden and are very excited for Korwin to finally be here.  So next comes a bit of a picture overload but it is what it is. They aren't loading in order but, i really just don't want to spend forever to fix it...so this is what you get for now.

Don't mind the puffiness, i did after all have a baby 2 days prior...:)

Playing Catch up.....Sorta

I figured it was about time i stopped being lazy and just did a quick update.  Seeing as in a few weeks my time will become even more limited when our little boy decides to make his debut!  I'm down to just over 2 weeks till my 'due' date.  I'm trying to be patient but i'm just getting to the point of i want to be done.  We have a lot of stuff to do to get ready, but then its just the little stuff.  Need to get all the clothes and bottles washed. Bassinet out and put back together, buy diapers and such and basically get the house cleaned so i wont have to do a lot when he comes.  I"m just freaking out a little bit since i have no idea what a 'real' contraction feels like since with Jayden i was induced and i'm sorry but pitocin contractions just don't compare since i never was given a 'break' between 'contractions'.  Doesn't help that our doctor is in Roosevelt since I refused to go to my last doctor since he scared/forced us into a inducement and then 52 hours of unnecessary labor and blah blah i won't get into detail. Just he won't get my recommendation for a doctor.  So we decided to go to Dr. Nolte and he has been a very pleasant and welcoming change from our last one.  I know, I know what you moms are thinking and wanting to say...you'll definitely know when your in labor, but i just don't want to get what i think are labor pains and then go over and then be sent home for fakies.  That trip from Vernal to Roosevelt will go old and costly very quickly.  On the plus side i'm already further along on the "pre-labor" stuff then i ever was with Jayden after 2 days in the hospital so that keeps me going knowing that my body does in fact know what its doing i just have to play the lovely waiting game.

Well i'm just going to post a bunch of radom pictures from winter sledding trips, Jayden in an adorable little church outfit and some fun at the farm.  So enjoy and have a great day!
