Glow in the Dark!
National Finals Rodeo 2011!
This year for our 5 year wedding anniversary we spoiled ourselves big time! We went to the NFR in Las Vegas for 3 nights! We found a package deal online and we got our motel room and the tickets for the first three opening nights of the NFR and can I just say it was a blast!! It was sure hard being away from the boys for that long but it was sooo much fun. We figured since we haven't really had a chance to truly get a way for any anniversary that it was worth the money and time apart from the boys! We wish we could go every year but we for sure want to try and make it an every 5 year deal!
We of course did a little gambling and walked away with...ya no winnings :) but we walked up and down the strip several times which we felt the next day. Saw a lot of crazy people and overall just enjoyed the whole experience. We saw the awesome chocolate fountain and seasonal garden in the belagio, we went in the coca cola and m&m factory. They had a huge convention area for the NFR and anything cowboy/western type of stuff was there! The building was HUGE and we basically had to run through in order to see it all . I would highly recommend everyone should go to the NFR at least once. That is if you enjoy rodeos that is.

Thanksgiving/Christmas 2011
So November was a pretty eventful month. For one my awesome sister-in-law decided to go on a mission and was called to the Calgary, Canada for 18 months! Crazy exciting. So about a week before thanksgiving we drove out and said our goodbyes as she left to enter the MTC. Poor Jayden was so torn up about it and still asks frequently for aunt kayla and for horse rides :). I'm kicking myself for not getting any pictures, but it was awesome and overwhelming to see hundreds of elders and sisters entering the MTC so earger to learn to help spread the word of the Gospel to people all over the world. I know our little family is so greatful and proud of our sister kayla batty!
